insparation and history of the genre

the type of horror im doing is gothic but very upto date rather than being old or set in an old place the films i took insperation from are house on haunted hill and 13 ghosts. these films both contain the ghost killer type of sub horror. in the house on haunted hill it shows split screen disapering ghosts same as 13ghosts and my opening sequence will play on this heavily. house on haunted hill the first make was one of the first where you could see the ghosts and yet ther was still alot of mystery shrouding it i will try to recreat this in my project.

pitch idea

The plot of my film is that a girl sick of collage and sick of the world we live in commits suicide in her bathtub. she becomes restless after finding out someone has moved in and she plans to get rid of them...

opening sequence
the opening scene is when the family has moved in. they are sat watching the T.V when the parents (Gillian and Kylle Crane) send daughter (Olivia Bennison) to bed. she walks up the stairs and as he passes the door of the bathroom the girl(Sarah Horsman) appears in the bath with the blood on her wrists and throat. as the daughter goes into the bathroom and walks past the bath she disappears. the daughter then cleans her teeth and as she bends over the sink to spit the tooth paste the girl appears again with a blank expression in a crucifix pose and tilted head. as he lifts her head from the sink she disappears again. as the daughter walks out of the room she fall over and blood runs down her arm and she screams then twitches. it then goes to the credits a freeze frame edition of the credits being written on the floor.
